If you had asked me a few years ago who I was I would have said,  “I live in North Carolina, I’m a big cheese at a pharmaceutical company.  I’m a soccer mum and I love sailing.”  If I’d told the truth I would have added “It’s not enough.” I dreamt of quitting my job, selling my beautiful house on the Intracoastal Waterway and sailing my own boat around the Caribbean and the Mediterranean and if I got really confident at it maybe sailing down to Fiji.  

If you ask me who I am now I’d say I’m unbelievably lucky!  I’m living my dream, having an adventure and having fun.  I’m a sailor (ocean racer actually!) I’m also a budding actress, TV presenter and now I’m an author!

The last five years have been truly transformational.  I’m not running away or trying to escape from a life that was very comfortable but wasn’t what I wanted.  I like the new me and I am so glad I found her at 50.

I hope my story will inspire someone.  Someone else who is stuck in a rut thinking this is not what I want for myself and give them the courage to change the course of their life, like I did and have a giggle along the way.
